MANILA, Philippines - A municipal employee in Masbate province was gunned down this morning by armed men, police said.
Police said Rudy Villarin, an employee in Placer town, Masbate, was about to buy breakfast in Barangay Villa Inocencio around 6 a.m. when six gunmen on motorcycles opened fire at him.
Authorities are still looking into the motive of the killing.
